Who we are

biopic Boonseon Gudmundsen watched her youngest child leave for college and found herself an empty nester. Taking her husband’s advice to not be a helicopter mom, she decided it was the right time to devote all of her energy to her lifelong passion of financial planning and investment advising.
With this unusual path to the industry, Boonseon brings to the table her “PTO Board Room” life experiences as a dedicated volunteer in school, church and community. The greatest lesson she learned while trying to motivate a child or another volunteer was to listen to what they were about and what they wanted by connecting with them one-on-one and be their advocate and help them succeed.
Boonseon had the humblest beginning in still war-torn Korea before immigrating to the U.S. to attend college. She learned the value of financial resources from the lack of them and the need to use these resources wisely for a better future. She also values the imperative need of financial planning services for the middle class, not just for the rich. While still a teen, she learned English by memorizing textbooks, by listening and repeating pronunciations until perfected. She brings the same passion and zeal to serve her clients by methodical research in all subjects financial.
She holds a BA in Finance from the University of Utah and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors and a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER practitioner.
